The Celebration

I was there
Amidst the humming,
A song of countless people mumbling
Just like the song
Of the sea waves.
They were there perhaps
As they were meant to be.

I was there witnessing
The phenomenon unnamed,
Of these numbered people gathered
To celebrate little innovations
Of human existence,
Not another being in universe
To observe it.

This gathering holds a few
From amongst mankind
Higher than the rest,
Closer to an ultimate
But imagined observer,
One they try to please
And call god.

I close my eyes and listen
To the music they play,
Another innovation
Of human existence,
And i wish the truth not be,
That all this will end someday
And there would be no more days.
